Do you realize the power
Attracting Ideal Clients
has to transform your business?
Take a moment right now…
Imagine your business filled only with your Ideal Clients.
Slow-paying, price-shopping, profit-sucking, dumb question asking, time-wasting, pain-in-the-ass customers…
All fired. Gone.
Your business is now filled only with Grade-A, Perfect Ideal Clients.
What impact
does Attracting Ideal Clients
have on your business?
Ask yourself these 3 key questions:
- How much does your Average Client spend with you?
- How much does your current Best Client spend with you?
- How much would that Ideal Client YOU want spend with you?
Now you can dig out your client files and check your numbers on these three questions, but for now simply write down your three numbers:
1. Your Average Client spends $_______ with you?
2. Your Best Client spends $_______ with you?
3. Your Ideal Client (that Perfect Client you WANT in your business) would spend $______ with you?
Most businesses realize a huge potential payoff.
- Identify your Best Client and double your profits.
- Identify your Ideal Client and triple your profits.
- Identify your most profitable Ideal Client and quadruple your profits.
When you focus on Attracting Your Ideal Client, you’re working with a totally different mindset.
And here’s what happens to your business:
- Increased business focus and concentration, resulting in increased efficiency throughout your operation.
- You automatically spread your name and brand more quickly. You are that big fish in a small pond. When you focus on servicing a specific, narrow niche, your name becomes known faster and your prospects and clients recognize you as The Expert.
- You capitalize on your strengths-individually and as a business.
- You eliminate price comparisons from delivering value in solving clients problems
- Your marketing message is Laser-Focused on the “Right Market”, resulting in more effective, less wasteful advertising.
- Your business is positioned for increased referrals and back-end sales.
Bottom-Line: More sales, easier, less stressful sales, and more cash in your pocket. Adopting the Attracting Ideal Clients mindset is a powerful business-building strategy.
Now, while you realize the power Attracting Ideal Clients potentially holds for your business, you’re no doubt wondering:
How do I figure out who my Ideal Clients ARE for my particular business?
Ideal Clients: 10 Essential Criteria
1. Your Ideal Client has a big problem. They think about it all the time, it keeps them awake at night.
2. Your Ideal Client wants problems solved. The impact and cost of their problems are big enough that they will act to have them resolved.
3. You can easily find your Ideal Client. If it’s not easy to find your Ideal Clients, it will cost you a lot of money to find them.
4. Your Ideal Client has money to spend. No point having a terrific service if your Ideal Client doesn’t have the money to pay for it. Basic, but often overlooked.
5. Your Ideal Client has a history of paying to have this problem solved. You want to focus on Ideal Clients where there is a proven track record of problems and people paying to solve them.
6. There are enough of your Ideal Clients out there to sustain a business. How many Ideal Client people or businesses are in your Target Market?
7. You enjoy working with your Ideal Clients. Remember, you are also in business to enjoy yourself so make sure you’ll enjoy working with your Ideal Clients.
8. You have a passion for helping and serving your Ideal Clients. Passion is an essential ingredient for selling your services.
9. You have valuable expertise and experience you can offer. Think about what specific expertise and experience you bring to the table for your Ideal Clients.
10. Your Ideal Clients fit with your ultimate lifestyle vision. Make sure that working with your Ideal Clients will enable you to live the kind of life you want to live.
When you GET CLEAR about WHO you WANT to do business with, the more you will ATTRACT these exact IDEAL CLIENTS.
You ATTRACT what You FOCUS upon.
P.S.- This isn’t that Law of Attraction, Woo-Woo, “The Secret” sit-on-your- butt and wish yourself a new car crap. Yes, Law of Attraction works, but only if you take ACTION.
So, take ACTION.

This is so useful, it’s very easy to have a business idea and steam ahead but it’s important to think about potential clients and consumers and it’s not always easy to know the right information you need to have and what aspects you need to give thought to so your lists are very helpful! I am thinking of starting a new business and I do worry a lot about how to attract clients.
[...] 1. Marketing is not rocket science – seriously. It is common sense, consistent action, and simple systems. I know you’ve got the common sense. Add in consistent action, and over time, build in simple, proven systems that work in your business. Where to start? Use common sense… Get started in pinpointing a huge marketing leverage: identifying your Target Market. [...]
I like this idea. Taking a step back and look at yourself from the outside in. Asking yourself these questions and anylizing the data. Great way to grab those ideal clients I totally agree.

Nowadays, you must be super creative to have a good business idea that works.,,*
I agree with the statement that you should become a specialist in a particular field.
I am an accountant and specializing certainly helped. This is my experience.
1) People pay specialists more
2) It eliminates 95% of the competition who are generalists
3) You don’t have to know something about every single tax law.
This post is going up against my wall as a constant reminder. It is common sense, but common sense that is frequently overlooked.

Hey Walt!
Great post, I totally agree with you on quite a few things here. If you use “laser targetting” and concentrate on a tightly focused part of your niche, solving a big problem you soon are able to dominate because as you pointed out your branding is able to take maximum effect, as opposed to generic, all in one solution provider. There is a lot of grey space between being good at something and being a master at it.
Advertising is often a difficult area to master if you are on a budget so it is definitely important you try to get “more bang for your buck”, by tightly focusing where you want your message to be seen can cut down massively, wasted advertising dollars.
Thanks again for the great post.
