Massage Marketing with Google Local Search

If your massage practice is not showing up in the Google Local Search results when they type in your city or town along with massage e.g. massage San Diego then you are missing out on what is potentially a huge source of clients.

Most people don’t even realize that when you type in a keyword plus a specific town or city that Google draws on local search results and then lists them above the regular top 10 search results. These results get the majority of ‘click thrus’ because they are highly targeted and if your business is not listed there on page 1, then you won’t see any of this traffic.

One of the great things about Google Local Search is that you don’t even need a website to submit a listing. Google will provide you with a page that has all the details you supply about your business, including opening and closing hours, the specific massage services and related products you offer. In fact, you can add any additional information that you like, including photos and videos as well as special offers.

How you get on the front page of your Google local listings is by incorporating the primary keyword that people are using to search for massage in your area and incorporate that creatively into your business name. For example your business might be called ‘Massage Me’ and if you are based in San Diego, you could create a listing titled, Massage San Diego (Massage Me) and having this primary keyword will give you a huge boost in the local search rankings for ‘massage San Diego’.

The next thing you need to rank well is testimonials and the more you have the better. Google has made it so that anyone with a Google account (e.g Gmail) can log in and leave feedback about your service as well as give you a star rating. The more positive testimonials and ratings you have, the higher you will rank and the more that other people will be sold on your services.

The other great thing about the local search listings is that your phone number is included right there in the listing itself. So potential customers could give you a call immediately after seeing your phone number in the initial search results without even needing to click through to your page.

So if you haven’t yet got your massage listing in the Google Local Search results, you’ve got to get on to that as quickly as you can as it is costing you business. It is by far the quickest way to get exposure online without having to pay a single cent, and without needing a website. Go do it now.
